Michel - Porche 944 Group 5 Rally Car

Michel from Peace River, Alberta has built a Porsche 944 Turbo for Group 5 (2wd over 2400cc) in the Western Canada Rally Championship. The car will debut at the 2007 Rocky Mountain Rally on May 25-26, 2007.

Michel has purchased many of his safety equipment from Rallysport.ca

From Michel:

I took it for a rip that day down to the scale house. It was 1340 kgs with lights, one spare tire, all tools, all gear and full of fuel (80 liter tank). With me in it 720 kgs front and rear. It's still the same weight as stock... I still want to take out the rear window and replace it with plastic, that will save about 45 lbs for a second spare.

Mods so far...
-5 medium Yokahama Gravels with two hards coming
-Removable Light bar with 4, 170 Light Force lights.
-Custom plastic hood, mud flaps and wear plates.
-3/16 aluminum skid plates from nose to Catalytic converter and under the transaxle.
-Hot bits suspension and camber plates with Fabcar front control arms with uniballs.
-Pagid Rallye pads and SS brake lines.
-Full DOM 1.75x0.120 cage with stiffeners
-Sparco Circuit Pro seats with 6 point Sabelts
-Peltor helmets and comm.
-Terratrip 303 plus (needs install) with wheel and speedo pick-ups
-roof vent and filler plate for sun roof (needs install)
-A/C delete kit
-new turbo kkk K26/8, should be around 247 hp with 10 lbs of boost, 0-60 under 5.7 seconds according to Road and Track
-can't forget, open exhaust..
